i think the reason brazil lost to france in the semifinal was because the lack of fighting spirit and a little bit underestimating the france.. it’s shown during the game that fabienz barthez hardly had any rescue to make.. brazil didn’t play as brazil used to play.. kaka and ronaldinho especially didn’t function as they should have been.. looked like only ze roberto and roberto carlos that really played hard.. while in france side, zidane played magical football, the one that should be belonged to the brazilians.. the centerback and midfielders of france were very strong.. well, lack of fighting spirit was the ultimate reason and they were too late to regain it within the last minutes.. as a whole two predictions of mine were declined: england and brazil swop to portugal and france.. portugal is so agile when beating england.. though they could’t take advantage of 10-players england, portugal kept on pushing till the peanlty shoot-out and england had its curse, never win a single penalty shoot-out ever.. so, france vs portugal will be quite unpredictable.. on the other side, germany as i predicted move forward to the semifinal after beating the shining favorite argentina.. it was quite a game.. some said it was the real final.. both teams played attractive football and full of struggle.. germany was behind 0-1 until klose scored his 5th goal in the tournament to make draw and eventually germany as always (and never lose) won in the penalty shoot-out.. lehmann showed that he deserved germany number one goalkeeper after denied 2 kicks from the argentina players.. germany will play italy tonite.. italy had no problem at all stepping into semifinal as they turned down ukraine 3-0.. italy is much better than australia that some people thought italy won out of luck against the soccerose the other day.. germany will win tonite and proceed to the final.. good luck guys
