yeah

yeah..i’m reading again..
yes, i managed to read 2 chapters of my new management book last sunday..
thanks to the ipod that accompanied me along the process..
though maybe because of the holiday factor so i can concentrate more on that one particular activity, still it’s an achievement for me..my problem of not having focus on reading seemingly beginning to fade away slowly..
now, i’m bringing newspaper home just to have reading at night, trying to routinize the activity..hopefully it’ll help somehow..
my analysis saying that reading hatred in the past maybe not just because of lack of focus but also the tension attached to the reading itself that i had to memorize some information in the materials, giving lots of pressure and making it one heck of a job..
my finding about reading so far is that it gives the sense of journey into the topics, indulging myself into the whole new world..it feels like traveling, leaving our stance for a while, seeing people mind, exploring the history, time travel, feeling somebody else’s shoes, entering many doors of knowledge, intepretation and experiences..
i’m moving on..there must be so much fun ahead, so much mystery to resolve and so much benefit to gain..

reading

i’m still having trouble with reading..
i hardly focus on my reading for more than 5 minutes..
elses will be more attractive after the 5 ms of reading..
i strongly believe that reading is a must to enhance knowledge and competency..
i’m not happy with my condition at the moment..
during my childhood, i was fond of reading..
i read stories, comics, and world histories..
what i liked most was the story about world greatest leaders such as jenghis khan, napoleon bonaparte, adolf hitler..i still think that they are much better off person in leadership than western heroes like winston churchill or general mac arthur or others..
in college, i liked reading about historical stories of Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless be upon him always) and his friends..those are the greatest people in the history of mankind..
i started to not liking reading after i passed the college times, that i thought reading period was over..
well i thought wrong, reading is actually part of life..it’s like the nerve system..it’s everywhere we go..
it’s a requirement to equip and arm ourselves for every endeavour we have and the venture we take..
i’ve got to solve my reading problem! now or never..

bowling again

last friday night, i played bowling again..
after quite a long time, i got the chance of letting the ball roll again..
it felt like the old days..
i remember the time i played bowling with fia, kenny, ratih, gandhi, siska and others..
there were happy moments..
we used to play in ancol, blok m, kelapa gading..and got supper afterwards..
the togetherness was over the top..
now i’m back at the game with so many diferrent people..
we’re grouped of 7-8 persons competing among 24 groups in one season..real challenging
of 3 games i played, i scored 130, 160 and 112, not bad i guess..
as the games got heat up, i got the sense of competition..interesting and fun..
i ended up at number 19 of individual average in men’s division..
our team, so-called friendsters, on 13th place..
it’s nice to get to know more people, new acquaintances..
getting to laugh to each other, giving spirit to others, cherishing the good strikes..it did feel relieving..
we’ll play every friday afternoon..and last sunday, i bought myself the bowling shoes..
well, i try to enjoy myself in this new edge of life..

Rasulullah SAW has given us the way to get to know Allah..
it is him who shows us how to be a good makhluk toward Allah and toward other Allah creations..
he is a perfect example of a human being..
he cares about others, he spreads love and he cherishes affection..
he leads us upto the better person we can be..he enlightens our way..
nothing more important to him than seeing all humans blessed and cheery..
he’s loved by all muslims and he will always be loved..
his decency and goodness are never lessen nor decline..

money vs happiness

money can buy lots of things..
it can make you smile as much as it makes you sad..
some people are so eager to earn money as much as possible..
some break certain rules for it..
money indeed can make our lives in comfort..
on the other side, money can drive us of becoming a robot..
we are controlled by the effort of gaining more money..
we sacrifice our most precious time just for the sake of greenback..
sometimes we’re able to do awful thing, neglecting others, lying, conspiring etc..
money has a negative addicted side..it causes you to be an addict..
in the end, we think that money is a symbol of happiness, respect, comfortness, until at certain point we might be brought back to realize that it’s not money that we’re supposed to strive hard for..
it’s about the human quality itself..
we should be able to make ourselves happy and comfortable at anytime anywhere regardless the money..
we should be the controller of our time and our priority, not the money..
time should be considered much more valuable than money..
because it won’t be coming back while money is everywhere waiting to be fetched..

first day at school

last saturday was my first day at school again..
i came on time, the class was in one of the rooms within the office building..
but most of the classmates didn’t make it on time..
it was about maths..! financial mathematics..
it should be interesting though..
math is about associating numbers into formula and with a little help from calculator, you’ll get the answer..
looks easy, sounds easy but because we’ve to do fast, it becomes a wrinkle..
i find myself a too-much consideration type of person, including in maths..
though i’m a very logical type as well, still i can’t catch up in time..
the new things about this new class of mine are english-spoken, tagalog-driven and women-dominated..
i need to be observant for a while, trying to match with situation, fitting in..
until then i think i’m gonna enjoy the course, liking the subjects and conquering the obstacles..
next week, refresher course on statistics..

hand-outs

sometimes people are reluctant in giving out some of their money to help others..
some think that their money is derived from their hard work and self effort, so the sense of possession is very much high..to hand it out to others doesn’t seem like a cheerful thing to do..
“it’s my money”, “why should i give it to others”, “why don’t they use their own efforts to gain it”, “i’ve spent lots of time, energy, mind, thought, smartness to get it”, etc.etc…some of the utterances..
it’s absolutely true that we deserve any reward that we work on, it’s true that people deserve the fairness of their hardwork, no pain no gain..
but, if we look again deeper on the phenomena of life that happen around us..
incidents happen, accidents occur, problems emerge, barriers and obstacles appear, difficulties take place..
they come to pass us sometimes..
in the time those challenges happen to ourselves, we surely need other people’s help and it can be from anyone at anytime..
if we assume that everyone are willing to help sincerely then we don’t have anything to worry about at all..
we can get help at anytime anywhere..how wonderful life would be..
but, what if those challenges happen to other people around us or some strangers that we are aware of..
what do we do?..do we conduct any assistance that we are capable of?..or we reconsider many aspects in ourselves before making decision to aid..is it a good timing?..am i not wasting my time, my money, my energy?..is it gonna be a jeopardy on me?..
this is the phenomena actually..we tend to think about ourselves being over anything..it’s called selfishness..
we don’t see that everything that we do will be counted later..
we can’t realize that the problems occur to others is a chance for us to perfom good deed and it’s a part of the racing for kindness and good turn..
we’re hardly aware of that performing good deed would bring our soul to a better level and could create a peaceful feeling in our heart..
in fact, we are nothing without other people..
the favors that we do for others will indirectly cause others to give hand-outs..it’s like pay it forward scheme..
and it’s also good for the heart and the soul..
so, bring it on..

" Usually a Sagittarius will come off as a blissfully happy man. In most cases, this first impression will prove accurate. His moronic enthusiasm cannot be dampened by anything - not even by a heavy storm falling on his head. He's optimistic, freedom loving, good sense of humor, honest, smart and sometimes philoshopical " (Read more | Find yours)
